Using the AC Dual applicator equipped with Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology, Venus Versa acne reduction treatments utilize a dual-wavelength approach to target acne-causing bacteria while promoting the healing of breakouts. Blue light targets porphyrins — organic compounds that are produced by P. Acnesbacteria — destroying the bacteria to prevent future breakouts. Red light, delivered in a longer wavelength, penetrates deeper into the skin and targets dilated blood vessels and oxyhemoglobin, reducing inflammation and likely allowing faster recovery of the sebaceous glands.
The applicator features a built-in real-time cooling system that monitors temperature 1,000 times/second to better ensure patient safety and comfort. Typically, traditional acne treatments focus on just one of two aspects—treating the cause or reducing the visible symptoms. Venus Versa’s dual approach cuts down on treatment steps and delivers effective results with just one treatment plan. Treatment sessions typically last from 15 to 20 minutes.

The DiamondPolar™ and OctiPolar™ applicators on the Venus Versa™ system are cleared by the FDA for non-invasive treatment of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and rhytides on females with Fitzpatrick skin types I-IV. The NanoFractional RF™ (Viva) applicator is cleared by the FDA for dermatological procedures requiring ablation and resurfacing of the skin.
